Hello Polers and Pole Dance Afficionados! Welcome to the Live It Up Pole Fitness blog.

I created the Live It Up Pole Fitness Blog to share my pole journey and help you make the most of your pole experience. Whether you are a 5 days a week pole addict or a weekend pole warrior, there will be something here to pique your interest.

Like many other pole addicts, I was first introduced to pole dancing through a youtube video. Ah, the internet, what will I ever do without you? I remember my eyes being glued to the screen, spellbound by the incredible strength, grace and flexibility on display. What super power is this? How is that even possible!?!? To my newbie eyes, she was super human, doing the impossible and all the while being incredibly sexy to boot. (Can you guess which video?  Hint: She’s Australian.) I HAD to learn this awesomeness! So I picked my jaw up from the ground and started the first step of my pole journey. That was back in the fall of 2008. And the rest as they say, was history.

Fast forward 4 amazing years, I’ve met so many wonderful people, each with a story and something to share. In the pole community, everyone is a student and everyone is a teacher. We never stop learning! Overcoming my fear of the stage, I’ve performed at the Toronto Pole Dance Fitness Showcase, competed in the Ontario Pole Fitness Championship 2012 (I came in 2nd, Amateur) as well as in the Canadian Pole Fitness Championship 2012.

The pole community, locally and online, welcomed me with open arms and supported me through everything and I feel it is only right for me to give some back! So this blog is here to do just that.
